Using the Location Map View Feature in ConnectSx

Dude where's my medical device inventory?

We know that with the hustle and bustle of medical device sales, that inventory is often getting left at a handful of different hospitals, ASCs, and other locations. We’ve also heard that this can get pretty difficult for Reps, Distributors, and Manufacturers to keep track of! When inventory is consistently being used and moved by different people how can you guarantee that enough inventory is there to cover a case? How can the manufacturer plan new orders if they don’t know their stock levels in the field? Well worry no more…

Recently we rolled out the Custom Locations feature allowing users to create custom locations (with a custom name and geo-tag) that can be assigned to inventory when it is left at a location. You already had the ability to search by location to see what’s there, but now you don’t even have to - you just have to look!

  1. Just navigate to your Inventory-->Templates Page and select the Locations bubble on the left side of the screen.

  2. You’ll see a list of your custom locations displayed, just change to the ~MAP VIEW~ by clicking this symbol in the right area of the table:

  3. Then you’ll be able to see a map view of where all of your inventory is located. You can then feel free to zoom in/out, drag the map view around, and click into locations that hold your inventory to see what is there.
