How to Add/Remove Items from a Container in the Console

There are numerous ways to add inventory to a container and release items from a container:

Using the Container Detail Page

Using the Device Detail Page

Containers are currently limited to 500 items. You will not be allowed to add inventory above that level or to create containers with more than that quantity.

Adding On the Container Detail Page

  1. Click on the container you’d like to add inventory to, in order to access its detail screen

  2. Scroll down to the devices section

  3. Click Add Devices

  4. Select Expired or Not Expired

  5. Search for your Catalog Number

  6. Click on the item you’d like to add

  7. Type in the quantity or use the +/- buttons to determine how many to add

  8. Repeat this process if you’d like to add additional items

  9. Click Done and the items will be added to the Calendar

  10. You may also utilize the Bills of Materials functionality to stock your tray with components.

Adding On the Device Detail Page

  1. To add or remove an item from a tray or container, click on the item in the inventory screen to access the device detail screen. 

  2. Scroll down the page to the “Container” field. 

     

  3. If the item is already in a container, the container’s name/number will be displayed here.  There will also be two buttons to the right of the container name that will allow you to release the item from the container (Red X) and view (to see the Container’s detail screen, including its contents). 

  4. To add an item to a tray, find the inventory item and enter the detail screen. In the container field, you can start typing the name of the container and the system will present options that already exist. 

    1. If this is a new container, then it will need to be created in the system. 

    2. You may also add an item to a container through the vTrakr app on the iPhone. 

Removing Items from a Container

  1. To remove an item from a container you may always click “release” next to that Item’s container on the Inventory Detail Screen.

     

  2. However, you may also access the Container Detail screen

  3. Scroll down to the Device List

  4. Check the devices that should be removed to select them

  5. Then Click “Remove Selected” and those items will be released from the Container
