Assigning Containers to Events

Assigning Containers to Events

It can be useful to associate the containers (ex. trays) to an Event to track their use. Even if items from a container aren’t used in a case, the case may still be sterilized for that case which is useful to track. What if items were lost or misplaced during sterile processing, and what about tracking the number of sterilization cycles over the course of a container’s lifecycle?

  1. You can associate Containers with Events as you’re creating your Event. Just select the containers in the correct field as you’re going through the workflow (See below).

  2. Additionally, when items are used from a container during an Event, the containers are automatically assigned to that Event.

  3. Lastly, there is a field in the Container screen to keep track of which Events a container has been assigned to.

    1. In the Associated Events Section see all events the container is associated with in a list or calendar view.

    2. Along the right side bar see the last event the container was associated with.

Calendar View

You can also view past and upcoming cases that the container is associated with in the calendar view to help with inventory planning and case coverage.
