How to Navigate UDIdentify

Let’s take a look at the landing page for the app. The main page of UDIdentify is the scanning screen, but there are a couple of notable navigation paths from this screen. Take a look below to see what each button on this page does, these will come up more in our other KB articles.

 

  • Account Page - This is where you can log in to UDIdentify and create a User Profile so your email history data will be saved. This is not required to use UDIdentify

  • Enable/Disable Flash - Try enabling/disabling the flash if your barcode is not scanning effectively. You may also try moving closer or farther away from the barcode.

  • Enable/Disable Camera - It can sometimes be helpful to disable the camera so barcodes are not unintentionally scanned.

  • Create Group - A group is a set of barcode scans that you can assign a title to so they can easily be identified and referenced later - such as a particular date or surgery.

  • Access History - This is where you can see your full scan history by grouping.

  • Type UDI - If your barcode won’t scan you can enter it manually.
