The Knowledge Xfer, Issue 55: Facility Par Levels

Welcome back to the Knowledge Xfer! Last week we introduced a slick new feature that allows you to enable field reps and distributors to submit inventory requests without logging into the system. If you missed it, you can read more here.

This week we want to show you an important new development in how inventory is tracked and moved in ConnectSx. As you know, inventory is governed (primarily) by custody in ConnectSx; i.e. who is accountable for it determines "where" it is. A while back we also introduced the notion of "locations," which allows you to associate geographic locations with inventory, in addition to their custody.

Fast forward to today: you can now pair our locations functionality with your Facilities, allowing you to indicate if inventory is being stored at a Facility location; what's ore, you can set par levels in each facility's detail page to track the stock levels at that Facility. Let that sink in: now you can track consigned inventory at the Facility location. Pretty cool, huh?
