the Knowledge Xfer, issue 94: Regions and Regional Managers
Hey Brendan, We trust the previous week's email helped you optimize your inventory search habits ;). In case you missed it, check out how our Exact Search feature can expedite your search for inventory. It's starting to get a bit spooky out there! Are you finding it a bit haunting... *excuse me*... daunting ... trying to manage all your distributor groups and sales users? Are your sales disappearing into the abyss, making you scream in frustration? (Ok, we're done with the not-so-subtle Halloween references.) This week, we're revisiting a topic we've covered before because we think it's that important: Regions and Regional Managers.
Do you already break your team out into regions or territories? And do you have managers keeping an eye on their inventory and their sales? The 'Regions and Regional Managers' functionality was designed specifically to address those needs. To simplify things, we let you create groups of states as Regions. If that's all you need, great. But if you have actual humans covering those regions in the real world, we let you take it a step further by establishing "Regional Managers" to keep an eye on the regions you've assigned them. These are distinct users, with specific permissions designed to satisfy a role that is focused on people management more than case management. For a deeper dive into how this works and how you might be able to leverage it for your business, dip in to our Knowledge Base. Stay enchanted and haunt those sales targets! (ok, now we're done with the halloween references.)
