the Knowledge Xfer, Issue 57: Inventory Expirations

Hey Brendan,

Welcome back to the Knowledge Xfer! Last week we showed you how to take advantage of a powerful new feature: Physician Tags. Physician tags will let you add searchable tags, notes, statuses, etc. to your physician records, giving you the ability to store useful information about them that can then be searched. If you missed it, check it out here!

This week we're highlighting an update in functionality that will make it easier to control and manage your expired inventory, helping to ensure that inventory doesn't make its way onto a bill sheet.

With our most recent release, expired inventory is blocked from use in certain event types.
After a device has expired, ConnectSx will no longer allow it to be used in the following Event Types: Case, Loan, Stocking Order, or Trial. You can, however, apply it to a Stock adjustment or Return event to support getting it pulled back to the home office so you can replace it with active inventory.

For more information on what to do with expired inventory, check out this article.

All the best (and a Happy Thanksgiving to all of our U.S. based users!),
Brendan Sweeney
