the Knowledge Xfer, Issue 62: Messaging with @Mentions

Hey Brendan,

Welcome back to the Knowledge Xfer! In last week's issue we highlighted new functionality allowing you to establish Regions for your business, and assign Regional Managers to govern those regions. This is a powerful new feature that lets you manage and report on your sales at a regional level. We also talked about an important update to Facility Addresses that requires you to take action on for your organization. If you missed it, check it out here.

This week we're going to talk about a powerful new feature that is sure to improve the way your team communicates about your cases and inventory:

Drumroll please ....... It's @MENTIONS!

The new @mention functionality gives you the ability to tag or "mention" a user in a comment using the following format: "@" and "{username}" (@Bob Smith), to draw their attention to the message via a new Mentions Notifications section, as well as an email informing them of the mention.

Note: As long as you type @ in a comment, you will get a dropdown of available users that can be further filtered by typing more of their name.

This turns the comments sections of ConnectSx into a ligh-weight messaging app. Easily communicate with your team mates by @mentioning them, and they can respond to your comment with a return @mention.

One last thing before you go: As you may have heard, we released a major update to the ConnectSx Platform on 2/6/23. If you haven't reviewed what's new, please check out our Product Roundup and Release Notes to learn about it. Reach out if you have any questions or issues!

All the best,
Brendan Sweeney
