the Knowledge Xfer, Issue 109: Container Auto-Refill

Hey Brendan,

How did it go? Did our playbook library fulfill your wildest hopes and dreams? If we still have some work to do, why don't you let us know what you'd like to see? We're in the market for some new playbook subjects, so if you have a goal, task, or problem that you've been itching to fix, we'd love to help. Send it our way and, if we can help, we'll write a playbook for it!

This week we were digging around in the closet and thought it would be a great time to remind you about this rockstar  of a feature:Container Auto-Refill.

When a tray is returned from the field the pressure is on to get it restocked and back into circulation where it can be put to good use, but it's not that simple. Usually you have to check the recent bill sheets to see what was used and make sure you're restocking all necessary components.

That's a lot of work, with a lot of moving pieces and opportunities for error. What if we could do that for you...? A while back asked ourselves that exact question, so we decided.. "why not? Let's do it for them, since we can!"

Using our Bills of Materials functionality, you can restock a tray (in the ConnectSx system at least) automatically with what has been sold, used, or otherwise removed from the container to get it back up to par. Better yet, we'll even follow FIFO or LIFO depending on your preference!

All the best,
Brendan Sweeney
