the Knowledge Xfer, Issue 67: Procedure Modifiers

Hey Brendan ,

Welcome back to the Knowledge Xfer! In last week's issue we showed you how to use the calendar view in the Console to plan out your upcoming activity and identify any gaps. If you missed it, check it out here.

This week we're highlighting Procedure Modifiers; a new feature that helps keep your directory organized, while enhancing your ability to add detail to your procedures.

Previously, procedures stored in your directory read exactly as you created them, which meant the only way to store additional information about the procedure was in the comments, or, in many cases be simply creating extra procedures.

Not anymore! Now you can use procedure modifiers to add additional information about the procedure to the Event.

Perhaps you are repping a case and want to record location information about where, anatomically, the procedure is being performed. Using procedure modifiers allows you to store anatomical terms such as medial, axial, proximal, etc, and then use those terms in your cases. You can even add new modifiers right in the Event workflow.

To learn more about how to use procedure modifiers, check out the procedure section of this article!

All the best,
Brendan Sweeney
