The Knowledge Xfer, Issue 19: Simplifying container creation

In the last issue of the Knowledge Xfer we showed you a brand new feature we developed by popular demand: Stocking Orders. Using stocking orders you can now sell inventory directly to a hospital and continue to record when it is used by the hospital off the shelf as Facility Stock. If you missed it, check it out!


This week we want to highlight an important workflow change that impacts how inventory containers are created. As you may remember, every container MUST have a UNIQUE Catalog Number for it to be created in ConnectSx. To streamline the process of creating containers and the creation of these catalog numbers, you now MUST create the Catalog Number while you are creating the Container, in the same screen.

The practical implication of this is, if you create a catalog number in the Product Catalog, you will NOT be able to assign that catalog number to a container.
