The Why...

One of the biggest hurdles (and risks) to getting the maximum value possible out of your use of the ConnectSx platform is keeping your inventory accurate. ConnectSx aims to provide you with an immutable chain of custody for your inventory -- capturing all inventory transfers, use, and sales. When your inventory data is not kept up to date and standardized, your ability to track inventory and draw insights from your activity data is compromised.

Additionally, the process of getting your inventory data back to a complete, accurate state can be a time and labor-intensive process. Warehouse and field inventory audits are costly endeavors and may necessitate additional inventory imports.

So the best way to avoid extra time, labor, and cost is to focus on keeping inventory up to date and accurate.

The How...

The first key to keeping your inventory buttoned up is to rely on your training on the platform. Initial training of the core team on the core processes within the platform is integral to the success of your implementation, and the following training of all of your users is just as important. Your users need to be fluent in how to execute the most-common actions within the system to make sure data is captured and kept accurate, such as:

  • Inventory Transfers

  • Recording Sales and Device Use in a Case

  • Inventory Requests

  • Updating Lost, Damaged, Sampled, and Missing inventory

If you would like to discuss additional training feel free to submit a request here. You may also fall back on our training resources such as this Knowledge Base, the ConnectSx User Guides, and our educational video modules.

Additionally, making sure your internal business processes are clearly defined and that your team is fully trained in them can mean all the difference. Incorporating ConnectSx into your business will likely mean adaptation, change... Managing this change effectively will help ensure that your users adopt the software into their daily life and use them to execute on their work. Working on adapting business processes and gaining user adoption will be part of your On-boarding planning, but must carry on past the On-boarding Phase. Keeping your users accountable to standards of execution within the platform will help to make sure they continue to use ConnectSx and that your inventory stays current.
