A transfer is created when inventory must be sent or moved from one custodian to another, which often involves a shipment or other type of transit before the inventory arrives with its final custodian. As such, it may become valuable to record updated information about the transfer as it becomes available. Read on below to learn how to do just that.
Make updates to the Ship-to Address
Navigate to the transfer detail page for the transfer in question.
To update the ship-to address, simply click into the field you need to change and make your changes.
Click Save
Track Shipment Status
You may also track the shipment status of the transfer.
Navigate to the detail page for the transfer in question.
Add the tracking number of the shipment to the transfer.
Click Save.
Note that the status of the transfer has been updated to “Shipped”.
You may also select the status of “Shipped” for a transfer without adding a tracking number.
Click on the “More” menu displaying the ellipse symbol.
Select “Mark as Shipped”
Note that the system will record a timestamp of who shipped the transfer and when.
